A variety of Alaska in one place

We stumbled upon Pioneer Park. What a pleasant surprise! The admission is free, and you pay minimally for some of the attractions. A small art gallery is at the entrance that features beautiful work in a variety of mediums of local artists (and it is reasonably priced to purchase). There is a train, pioneer, and aviation museum; each is small with random objects. There is a steamboat that you can walk through to learn about the mechanics of the boat and the history of life on the river. There are multiple playgrounds, a train ride around the park, a carousel, and mini-golf. The locals play here too. We loved the quirkiness of this place.
