We had an intentional late start today. Our first stop was at the University of Alaska Museum of the North. It was very interesting and well worth our time. We met Otto the 8 foot 9 inch, 1250 pound brown bear. Next we stopped at a research facility connected to the university. In the afternoon we took a historical riverboat ride on the Chena River. There were over 500 people on the boat but the crew was so organized that it didn't seem like too many. To complete our day we had dinner with our Fairbanks friends at The Pump House-very good!
