We finally reached the start of the Alaska Highway in Dawson Creek BC and settled in at the Northern Lights RV Park. We crossed another time zone on the way and are now on Pacific time. Following the world's most confusing tourist map, we started at the Historical Mile Marker 0.
After taking lots of pictures of the Historical Mile Marker, we moved on to the current beginning of the highway and risked our lives running across the road to get photographed there. This marker is an island in the middle of a very busy intersection.
On the way back to the campground we stopped to visit the 11 themed gardens at the Pioneer Village. Most of the flower buds were about to bloom, but I think we were about a week early for most of them. Those that we saw were beautiful!
