The wildlife up here is precious and we all want to make sure they are protected for everyone to enjoy. One of our fellow caravan members told us a sad story. While driving on the Alaska Highway, he saw an animal laying on the road. Since it wasn’t moving, he assumed it was dead and continued in his lane. When he got about ten feet away, the animal popped its head up. Unfortunately, it was too late to move aside and he ran it over. CANADIAN LESSON #4: Always drive around an animal laying in the road. It may just be soaking up the warmth of the pavement and not roadkill.
