We checked out of the lodge in Banff, after breakfast and headed for the Banff Gondola. We rode to the top of Sulfur Mountain. (Iconic Banff) After a round trip ride, we returned to the town of Banff. Connie & I explored & shopped. We took a photo looking down on Banff Avenue (the Main Street through town) from the administrative office of the Canadian National Park Service. This impressive English looking stone building is visible as one looks all the way down Banff Avenue. We spent a great deal of time touring the "Cascade Gardens" on the grounds. (photo) We ordered lunch for the road at the "Wild Flour Cafe." The delicious grilled cheese on facoccia bread was THE best. We decided we need to plan a fall "leaf peeping" trip to Banff. We are overnighting in Lethbridge & are on our way back to the States & our visit to Yellowstone! No blog tomorrow as it will be a travel day only-to Bozeman, Montana. Yippee"
