The mountain views between Price and Provo, UT
Great views on the way here. Went out to the Moose Bar, Mexican food and a movie. Cute little town!
Had a blowout on the Jeep Liberty. It was not a pretty site.
Our 1st mishap of the trip 🙁 We were able to change the tire ourselves, then headed to a Jeep dealer to confirm the safety of the vehicle, as we lost a front fender, a couple of lights and the windshield washer fluid container.
Got the Jeep Liberty checked out in Butte, MT. Stopped for the night in Great Falls, MT. Slides on passenger side of the bus wouldn't go out 🙁🚌 down sized to 1/2 house. In search of Tiffin RV service repair.
Checked out a couple of RV service centers, but they couldn't help us. Decided to keep driving north. Made it to Calgary, Canada 🇨🇦 Practiced Boondocking, Spent the night in a casino parking lot.
My Birthday 🎉 🎈Got our slides repaired while shopping at an outlet mall! Life is so good 😊 Made it to Banff. Beautiful drive!
Spent 3 nights in Banff. Rode the gondola, went to the hot springs, visited lake Louise, the Banff Springs Hotel, shopped and rested 🤗👍🏻
Beautiful mountains and beautiful lakes.
The lake was frozen and it was cold... but the scenery was amazing 😉 On to new adventures tomorrow!
Beautiful drive from Banff to Jasper. Saw deer, bears 🐻 and big horn sheep.
Boondocked for the night in a hotel parking lot. Long day on the road, but beautiful and exciting. Can't get any knitting done, too busy looking for wildlife.
This is where the journey begins. This is mile 0 for the Alaskan Highway 🤗👍🏻🙏🏻
Watched a movie at the visitors center and learned all about the history of the making of the Alaska (Alcan) Highway. It was built in 1942 by the U.S. Military during WWII. Amazing trailblazing through the wilderness.
A long beautiful day on the road. Boondocked next to Trout River in the middle of nowhere. No phone, TV or internet.
Stopped for an early morning soak.
Saw lots of Bison along the highway.
Bears are easy to spot and so exciting to see!
Stopped at Watson Lake and added our sign to the Sign Post Forest.
Boondocked at the Walmart in Whitehorse. Checked out the town, restocked supplies and rested.
Boondocked on Kluane Lake.
3200 miles and we finally made it to Alaska!
Whoo hoo! 👍🏻
Happy Mothers Day!
Boondocked in the Elks Lodge #1551 parking lot with a great view of the Chena River for 4 nights while we checked out Fairbanks.
Went down the Chena River on the Discovery Riverboat. Learned about Bush Pilots, The Iditarod race dogs and toured a native Alaskan fishing village.
Found out where and when they play pickle ball and played a few games. Went to a Salmon and Prime Rib Bake and an entertaining local evening show explaining the history of Fairbanks.
Visited the car museum and played some more pickle ball. Grocery shopping, car wash and Elks lodge for cocktails.
Moved to another great RV spot on the Chena River. Did 5 loads of laundry and made some chili. Prepared for getting back on the road and our next adventure trip through Denali National Park.
Another Beautiful drive from Fairbanks to Healy. Checked out the Park and picked up our bus tour tickets for tomorrow. Went to the 49th State Brewery for dinner and a flight.
6 hour bus ride through Denali. We saw caribou, Dall Sheep, Grizzly Bears, A Momma moose with 2 babies and 3 wolves. Also saw an Eagle, a great ride!
Hit the pavement for Seward, boondocked off the highway for the night. Rainy and cloudy day, but another beautiful drive. Had a moose cross the road right in front of us!
Arrived in Seward and found a great camp spot at the city waterfront RV park. Hiked up to Exit Glacier, did a little sightseeing and shopping. Stopped for some Gelato!🍧
Had a great day, even though it rained all day. Brunch, visited the Alaska Sea life Center where we saw a baby otter, caught a movie on the history of the Iditarod Trail and went out for a pizza.
The Drive to Seward was spectacular.
Went an an amazing 6 hour boat cruise. Saw Grey, Humback and Orca Whales, Sea Lions, Mountain Goats, Sea Otters and Glaciers. Had Salmon and Prime Rib for lunch. A beautiful day and an awesome cruise.
This isn't part of our physical Adventure, but certainly a big part of our lives! Happy 1st Birthday 🎉 🎈🎁 baby Bentley!
Drove to Homer, stopped at the amazing Fred Myer's store for groceries and supplies. Went to the Salty Dawg Saloon and had drinks with some friends from Durango. Such a small world 🌎
Went back to the Salty Dawg Saloon for t-shirts and a hat, walked the spit, and relocated to the Homer Elks Lodge parking lot. Saving a small fortune boon-docking and staying at the Elks. 👍🏻🤗
Played some pickle ball with the Homer locals, went out for a great king crab dinner then went for an evening drive and came upon this moose grazing along side the road!
